Thank God It’s Thursday!

Usually, everyone can’t wait for Friday because it’s the end of the work week and the beginning of some fun. But for me, I tend to enjoy Thursday nights.  And like some collegial adults, we don’t have school. San Francisco is filled with so many fun activities to explore. It’s like a crazy rendezvous night with Nick and Nora and their Infinite Playlist, except better. San Francisco is bustling with the sounds of talkative coffee drinkers, dancing scenesters, gay go-go boys, and delusional karaoke singers. For example, anyone anxious to some fun indie-rock bands or to join in at a dance party, then Popscene in Downtown has all the scenesters and hipsters. Ruby Skye has the electronic dance crowd while City Nights (or The Crib) has all the gay boys and their accompanying fag hags. But it’s an under 21 age club, so the Castro is the best place to be. Who wouldn’t want to go bar hopping from The Bar to San Francisco Badlands to the Café? I like many of these places, but karaoke at Encore on Polk Street has the energy from all walks of life. And of course, there’s a plethora of bars: Riptide close to Taraval and Ocean Beach, Bar None at the Marina,  or anything located on Geary Street or the Mission (Definitely check out Broke-Ass Stuart’s Guide To Living Cheaply in San Francisco). And of course, there’s the late-night meals at Seniore’s Pizza, Denny’s, IHOP, Nation’s Jack in the Box, or In and Out. Nothing tastes better than something greasy at 2 in the morning. A las, I have participated in these activities but you’ll find me lounging at my Starbucks chit-chatting with some friends. But it’s good to know that San Francisco has that endless stories of unspoken mayhem on Thursday nights.
